Recognized for its virtuosity and exuberant performance style, the Pacifica Quartet has carved out a compelling musical path since it formed in 1994. The group has performed extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia, and has swept top prizes in several leading international competitions. In 2006 the ensemble was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant. We welcome them as they make their first appearance with Friends of Music Concerts, closing this 55th season with verve.
