The great Emerson String Quartet stands alone in the history of string quartets with unparalleled list of achievements. After more than 34 years of extensive touring and recording, during which they earned nine Grammy awards and three Gramophone awards, the group continues to perform with the same benchmark integrity, energy and commitment that it has demonstrated since it was formed in 1976.
